Trump suggests California clearing homeless camps to make Harris look better

“Why didn’t Gavin Newscum do this a long time ago?” Trump asked.

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday suggested that Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., had issued an executive order offering guidance on the removal of homeless camps to clean up the state ahead of the election and improve Vice President Kamala Harris’s image.

Newsom issued the executive order on Thursday, offering guidance on the removal of homeless camps in the wake of a Supreme Court decision clearing the way for such action by local governments, the Associated Press reported. The order does not require that local governments take action to clear the homeless camps, but does direct state agencies to prioritize the clearing of camps that pose safety risks.
