White House blasts Rep. Cori Bush’s rhetoric after she lost her primary

“As much as I love my job, all they did was radicalize me, and now they should be afraid,” Bush said after her loss. “They’re about to see this other Cori, this other side,” she said, adding, “And let me say this: AIPAC, I’m coming to tear your kingdom down.”

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said President Biden condemns the Missouri Democratic Rep. Cori Bush’s recent fiery criticism of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

“Look, the president has always been very clear — and very recently, after the assassination attempt of the last president — about lowering rhetoric, right? Lowering political rhetoric and the importance of doing that,” Jean-Pierre said Wednesday at a press briefing. “It is important — important that we be very mindful of what we say. This kind of rhetoric is inflammatory and divisive and incredibly unhelpful.”
