WASHINGTON (TND) — Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., is drawing backlash for sharing a social media post which falsely claimed most Israeli citizens believe soldiers can sexually assault Palestinians.
Noura Erakat, a prominent Palestinian-American activist and Rutgers University professor, initially made the post Wednesday. Erakat’s now-deleted X post contained a doctored image of a poll seemingly conducted by Israel’s Channel 12, according to screenshots shared by users.
