Fifty-onepercentsaidAmericansenjoy“somewhat”to“fartoomuch”individualfreedom.(Note:bycontrast,57%ofvoterssaythegovernmentexertstoomuchcontrolovertheirlives,but16%actuallyagreedwiththefederalmanagers.)Sixty-eightpercentofDemocratfederalmanagersfeltthecountryhadtoomuchfreedomatthe“highestlevelsofthesurvey.”Thirty-threepercentofRepublicanmanagersconcurred.Fifty-fourpercentoffederalmanagersmaintainedthattheywouldissuenewregulationsafter“carefullyresearching”anissueevenifvotersopposedit.Brokendownbyparty,thatnumberaccountsfor49%ofRepublican-leaningmanagersand60%ofDemocrats.Youcanreadtheoriginalpressreleaseshereandhere.
