WASHINGTON — President Biden’s new asylum policy has split Democrats in Congress, including those in Minnesota’s congressional delegation.
In a policy that began Tuesday, the United States will turn away migrants seeking asylum who cross the southern border illegally when there is a high volume of daily encounters with undocumented migrants.
